She shared trips to Maine with Phil and Mitchi and their families. Family and friends have many quilts and potholders that she made throughout the years. She loved giving them away. Phil built a camp on the mountain in Jeffersonville and Earl and Elsie enjoyed hiking and riding the gator there during all times of the year. She also loved to write poems and stories.
She is survived by her son Phil Playful and wife Cindy of Fairfield; her daughter Mitchi King and husband John of Colchester; seven grandchildren: Dennis, Wanda, Greta, Angie, Stacy, Gregory, Matthew; four great grandchildren Kiley, Jordan, Jack and Nasir.

Elsie was predeceased by her parents, her husband Earl and her siblings Harlan, Frank, Arthur, Roy, Oscar, Agnes, Lizzie, Elwin, Bertha and Laura.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday August 22, 2013 at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel, 1176 Main Street, Fairfax, VT 05454 from 11:00a.m. until the time of service at 12:00.
