Mummy, I had $0 extra after my house fire, matter of fact a significant amount of debt I was required to still pay on the loan.  And YES I had good insurance.

So if someone had no money, unemployed, or on Social Security, they have a fire, can't afford to pay the Fire Department, they decide not to call.  Say it was in town, one house turns into 2 or 3 pretty quick since they are close together....

What if it you saw the fire and called it in, but not your property, who pays for it then?
