Minor's Country Store Celebrates 30 Years In Business With The Community
Minor's Country Store really did a great job celebrating with the community of Fairfax in a big 30th Anniversary Celebration. They had the band Maple Creek who are a group of people from Westford, Essex and South Burlington. They really livened up the place with their great peppy music and singing. Lee was cooking the hot dogs on the grill with help from Sara Heyer, who was waiting on customers. A hot dog, drink, potato chips and ice cream all for $1. A great deal. Jeff was going around with a 5 gallon bucket of tickets that people could pick out of. Had a lot of instant winners - Even me who is not known to be a winner, won a T Shirt. Aaron showed up and looked very thin beside his grandfather & Jeff. When I mentioned to him that in a few years he might have his grandfather's build, he informed me that "He" worked out. Everyone was in a jovial mood. A swideswipe accident between a car and motorcycle occurred and I thought I would take a picture, but the motorcycle operator wanted no part of me - Oh well, that's the way it goes. The "Old Pro" Dave St. Pierre came by later and got a photo though. I did take a photo from a distance and also got one of Steve Bessette in the big Fairfax Fire Truck. Dave St. Pierre also let me take a picture of him. Lots of people there I didn't know, and so didn't identify. Kids of course will not be identified. If Chris Santee doesn't get a story on how Minor's Country Store came to be, will try to get something together within the next week or so.

Miniature Covered Bridge Construction By Bob Greenia
Bob Greenia is a retired IBMer who camps up here in Fairfax at The Maple Grove Campgrounds in the summer. He has offered to build a miniature covered bridge like the one on Maple Street and has sent me some photos of what he has accomplished so far. I will authorize Bob to make some comments under each of the photos so he can explain further - We are very appreciative of Bob's efforts in this project.
