Highlight for album: Fairfax Egg Run 2006
Fairfax Egg Run 2006
The 7th Consecutive Egg Run to benefit the Fairfax Rec Path was held on August 5, 2006. Photos in this album include those of people gathering before the event, the start of the event and later in the morning relaxing under the trees at St. Luke's, enjoying omlets and the presentations to the winners. Unfortunately, I don't have the names, just the photos.

Highlight for album: TV Antenna Repair In 1983
TV Antenna Repair In 1983
Back in 1968, when I built my house, I had Mike Corrado, from George Wood's in St. Albans install an antenna 60 feet above my roof. He did it all alone without any help or stagings. Around 1982 the wire broke and made the antenna useless. Hunt as I might, I could find nobody to go up and fix it, until I spoke to Shirley Minor one day and he said he would do it. He and his brother-in-law, Laurent Lavallee rented some staging and put it up one section at a time until it was high enough to reach the Antenna. As you can see, Shirley did all the climbing. Unfortunately, it only worked for only a few months, then the wire broke again at which time I had a Tree Company come up with their hoist and remove the antenna from my roof. I had to find a new way to identify my house other than the one with the great big high antenna on the roof.
