BFA Class of 2008 Leaves Landscaping Legasy
Today, May 30, 2008, a group of Senior Boys along with Gary Stewart started work on a landscaping project at the school - Swansons and L. W. Young provided materials at cost for them for the project. BFA will be engraved with plants on the hillside near the ball field - It should look beautiful when they finish.

Highlight for album: Kelly Sweet Uses Hi Tech Equipment To Harvest Corn
Kelly Sweet Uses Hi Tech Equipment To Harvest Corn
The Sweet Family in Fletcher purchased my Dad's Farmland a number of years ago leaving four lots and an entrance to the land for my Oldest Sister, Agnes, now deceased, and the home occupied by her grand daughter Jennifer, My Youngest Sister, Theresa, who lives on the home place, Our daughter Mary Kay, the next lot down and Maryann and I who live closest to the village of Fairfax. The Sweet Family has maintained the farm as farm land and we are able to look out at our back yard and see modern farming in action. This morning I saw Kelly out there with this huge piece of equipment which takes all of the Kernals of corn off the cob and loads it in a bin to be later dumped into trucks and then I believe it is ground into corn meal for feed. When I went out to take pictures of the operation, Kelly asked me if I wanted to get up and ride around on the big piece of equipment and naturally I said yes. This album contains photos, not only from a distance, but some close ups of the gears and teeth that remove the kernals and also from a vantage point on the equipment itself as you see it from where the operator sits.
