ARMED ROBBERY IN FAIRFAX

FAIRFAX -- Police are looking for information about an armed robbery that occurred here Monday.

Two men wearing ski masks and armed with a gun forced their way into Robert McMillan's Main Street residence and stole an undisclosed amount of cash, according to Vermont State Police Detective Sgt. Warren Whitney.

Police did not indicate whether anyone was injured, whether McMillan was alone, or what time the robbery occurred. McMillan's age also was not released.

Anyone with further information is asked to call Whitney at 524-5993.

WCAX - 11 p.m. News Broadcast - Vermont state police are investigating a reported armed robbery today in Fairfax. The resident of this apartment told police that two men wearing ski masks and armed with a crowbar and a handgun, forced their way into his home and stole an undisclosed amount of cash. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Vermont State Police.

(Although the location of the robbery was not stated, a photo of the residence that was robbed showed a photo of the back of the Steeple Market where a fire escape stairway was located which would lead one to believe that it was the location of the robbery on Main Street here in Fairfax)
