FIFTY - FIFTY - FIFTY & NINETY-FOUR


Imogene Collins, age 94, with three of her seven sons and their wives who have reached their fiftieth wedding anniversaries. Left to Right - Daisy (Barkyoumb) Collins (wife of Tom), John Collins, Tom Collins, Imogene Collins, Owen (Buzz) Collins, Betty (Shepardson) Collins (wife of John), and Alice (Barkyoumb) Collins (wife of Buzz). Another son, Alton was also married January 30, 1954. His wife, the former Norma Nolan passed away March 14, 1989.

John & Betty (Shepardson) Collins were married August 7, 1954 by Father Joseph P. Sawyer, then pastor of St. Lukes Church here in Fairfax


Owen (Buzz) and Alice (Barkyoumb) Collins were married February 14, 1953 by Father Donald C. Kelley, then pastor of St. Luke's Church here in Fairfax


Tom & Daisy (Barkyoumb) Collins were married December 19, 1953, by Father Joseph P. Sawyer, then pastor of St. Luke's Church here in Fairfax


Imogene Collins, shown above with daughter Mary (Collins) Wright of Essex, age 94, didn't bother using the ramp, but came down the steep stairs at the main entrance of the church and walked over to the grotto for the picturing. When asked if she would like to sit down on the bench, she indicated she was fine. A remarkable woman indeed.
