BOB THOMPSON NAMED EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR FOR NATURAL RESOURCES CONSERVATION SERVICE

Congratulations Bob Thompson

Colchester -- Bob Thompson, civil engineer with the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), was selected as the agency's employee of the year. Francis Keeler, state conservationist for Vermont, made the announcement at an all-employee meeting in April.

Acknowledging the award as particularly coveted since co-workers choose the recipient, Keeler said, "I consider this the highest honor an employee can achieve. Few are known for such depth of teamwork."

Thompson has worked for the NRCS for the past 15 years, after serving two years in the Peace Corps. He has worked in Vermont for the past eight years and resides in Westford with his wife Paula and son Brian.

(My own personal comments regarding Bob's employee of the year award is that he certainly is very deserving from my personal experience working with him in different functions associated with St. Luke's Parish of which he is a member. Bob certainly is a team worker and always does more than his share. Bob is also a very active member of the Knights of Columbus)

Bob's email address is: bob.thompson@vt.usda.gov just in case any of you would like to add your congratulations.
