FAIRFAX TOWN OFFICE
PC MEMBERS PRESENT: G. Heyer, M. Hunziker, A. Lemieux, P. Hudson

The meeting was called to order by G. Heyer at 7:30PM.
C. Raymond, Zoning Assistant, asked the Board if it was necessary to tape the meetings, as the minutes are written from notes taken at the meeting. The Planning Commission thought the best times to record the meetings would be when there are other groups or individuals present, or when someone else takes the minutes of the meeting. A. Lemieux made a motion to accept the minutes from November 7, 2006. M. Hunziker second. All in favor. Elections were discussed. The Board will elect officers at a regular meeting when all Board Members are present.
The Planning Commission discussed various sections of the Bylaws. Definitions of “Casual Sales” and “Seasonal Non-Profit Concessions” will be added to Appendix B. The section on allowed uses will be expanded to give examples.
S. Taylor was asked to contact the Fire Chief for clarification:
1. Capability of fire trucks passing on long driveways.
2. Length of driveway that should require a hammerhead.
3. Acceptable forms of turnarounds, such as hammerheads.
A third draft of the Bylaws will be printed for review by the Planning Commission, the Development Review Board, and the Selectboard. Another joint meeting will be scheduled as soon as possible to discuss the draft.
9:30 PM, M. Hunziker made a motion to adjourn. P. Hudson second. All in favor.
Next meeting will be December 5, 2006, at 7:30PM
