Planning Commission Minutes                     November 6, 2007

FAIRFAX TOWN OFFICE

PC MEMBERS PRESENT: G. Heyer, A. Lemieux, M. Hunziker

PUBLIC PRESENT: S. Taylor, ZA

7:30 PM  G. Heyer called the meeting to order.   The minutes from October 16, 2007 were reviewed.

A. Lemieux made a motion to accept the minutes from October 16, 2007.  M. Hunziker second. All in favor.

The Town Survey preliminary results were reviewed.  Over 100 completed surveys have been received.  Various comments were read, including one sent directly to Board members via the mail. The major comment on the Surveys so far is to reduce housing development in Fairfax.  Discussion centered on various options such as putting a cap on building permits, increasing lot size, and not improving infrastructure.  The upcoming community forums were discussed and the format reviewed.  All Board members and the Zoning staff will bake cookies for the forums.

S. Taylor has been invited to talk to a high school Civics class regarding the Town Plan.  He will discuss the contents of the Plan and the Planning Process.  The class will also complete the Town Survey.  Discussion centered on Surveys not able to be delivered.  There will be blank surveys available in the Town Office for anyone who did not receive one in the mail, or who can not find theirs.

G. Heyer will read the proposed Plan for Milton.

8:30 PM  M. Hunziker made a motion to adjourn.  A. Lemieux second.  All in favor.

The next meeting will be on November 20, 2007, hopefully with
