FAIRFAX PLANNING COMMISSION Tuesday, October 16, 2012

7:05 PM- G. Heyer called the meeting to order. M. Hunziker moved to approve the minutes from the September 18, 2012 meeting; D. Brown 2^nd. All in favor.

Updates to the 2008 Town Plan

Skip Taylor discussed the changes to Chapter 12 (compatibility With The Regio and Adjacent Communities) and 13 (Implementation). There were questions whether the implementation strategies in Chapter 13 were valid and which needed to be updated.

The Board discussed the Recreation Department plans for the Town Forrest, the planned haunted house, and the recreation committee. It also discussed the Village Non-Motorized Circulation Study initiated by the Village Vision Committee and a planned public work session scheduled for 7PM on October 23, 2012 in the multi-purpose room at the school. Additional discussion included the need for a Town web site or newsletter, and upcoming Community Discussions on the new Town Office proposal.

At the next meeting the Board will be reviewing final drafts of the Town Plan update. The next meeting will be November 20, 2012 at 7PM at the Town Office.
