Planning Commission Minutes                     October 16, 2007

FAIRFAX TOWN OFFICE

PC MEMBERS PRESENT: G. Heyer, A. Lemieux, R. Wimble, M. Hunziker

PUBLIC PRESENT: S. Taylor, ZA

7:30 PM  G. Heyer called the meeting to order.   The minutes from October 2, 2007 were reviewed.

A. Lemieux made a motion to accept the minutes from October 2, 2007.  M. Hunziker second. All in favor.

M. Hunziker brought in the survey collection boxes he had made.  He purchased four locks, and is lending the town one of his own locks.  Around October 24th, the boxes will be set up at the Town Office and at the following local stores:  Adam’s Market, Steeple Market, Nan’s and Minor’s.  The surveys will be mailed out around October 29th.

Discussion centered on how to analyze the surveys once they are returned.  M. Hunziker will call G. Brunswick from Northwest Regional Planning Commission.  Hopefully they will be able to set up a spread sheet or data base that can be used to tally the results.  The Zoning department will keep a record of the written opinions from question one, and the general comments submitted. Hopefully a meeting with G. Brunswick can be planned on November 20, 2007.  Discussion centered on survey information and if that information will be available to give to the Selectboard before the Planning Commission Public Forums.

The surveys will be sent to renters in Town.  The rest of the meeting was spent preparing the rest of the envelopes for mailing.  A. Lemieux took some envelopes home to write on address that did not have printed labels.

8:30 PM  M. Hunziker made a motion to adjourn.  A. Lemieux second.  All in favor.

The next meeting will be on November 6, 2007.

Respectfully Submitted,

Cathy Raymond, Zoning and Planning Assistant
