Planning Commission April 18, 2006

FAIRFAX TOWN OFFICE

PC MEMBERS PRESENT: G. Heyer, M. Hunziker, A. Lemieux, R. Wimble

Public Present: S. Taylor, ZA, C. Steen

The meeting was called to order by G. Heyer at 7:35PM. The minutes from April 4, 2006 were reviewed. A. Lemieux made a motion to accept the minutes from April 4, 2006. M. Hunziker second. G. Heyer, M. Hunziker, R. Wimble and A Lemieux in favor.

A memo on Access Management from Colleen Steen was handed to the Members of the Planning Commission. On May, 16, 2006 at 8PM Bill Rose from NRPC will come to the Planning Commission meeting to discuss Access Management. The Board was also given a memo concerning a presentation by Margaret Torizzo, State Flood Plan Coordinator to be given at the Selectboard meeting on May 1, 2006. The revised Bylaws may need to reference both Access Management and Flood Plan Regulations.

Discussion continued on the Bylaw changes. The first draft was discussed and changes to the Bylaws were recommended.

Colleen Steen asked about two definitions, Wireless Communications and Wind Turbines. C .Steen also discussed a federally funded program for Safe Routes to School that the Town of Fairfax is interested in applying for. This program would greatly benefit Fairfax as a whole. S. Taylor said he would draft a letter of support from the Planning Commission. M. Hunziker will edit the letter.

9:30 PM M. Hunziker made a motion to adjourn. A. Lemieux second. All in favor.

The next meeting will be Tuesday evening May 2, 2006.
