If there are any Civil War buffs or Howard Coffin fans, this may interest you.

The Franklin Historical Society is re-dedicating their Civil War monument this Saturday, August 7th, at 6pm at Veterans Park on Main Street in Franklin.  At 7pm, author Howard Coffin will speak about the role of Vermonters in the Civil War, with an emphasis on Carmi Marsh, who gave the monument to the town of Franklin. If the name is familiar, Lake Carmi is named after him. They will have a display of Civil War artifacts and refreshments will be served. The public is invited. In case of rain, it will be held at the nearby Town Hall.
