I noticed last week that gas had gone up to $2.849 every place except Nan's in Town.  I decided I had better fill my car up at $1.789 which I did and really glad I did as it wasn't but a couple of days later and Nan's prices went up too.

We're heading into the spring and summer driving season and gas prices are climbing once again.

Prices have gone up nearly $.10 in the past two weeks. According to AAA, the nationwide average for a gallon of regular is $2.77, almost $.90 higher than this time last year. Crude oil prices are rising at the same time.

Vermonters are also seeing climbing prices at the pump.

The state average for a gallon of regular is $2.83, up $.05 in the past week and $.90 over this time last year. The most expensive gas is going for $2.99 in Lowell while the cheapest is $2.71 Brattleboro.
