Picture of the Day

Former Chiefs Larry Parsons and Albert Rich with the origianl Fairfax Fire Department Engine 1. This picture was taken in January 1991.

THINGS COULD BE WORSE
Well, I am scheduled to have surgery Wednesday morning.
I am feeling OK about it. Haven't tried to give it a lot of thought.

And then what ever I am going through, you watch the news and realize things could be a lot worse.
I checked Twitter with my iPhone at 9pm and saw all the tweets about Haiti. I got home at 11 and Margie had CNN on, and it's still on. Wow.
It will be interesting to see all the damage after the sun comes up.

I will try to let you know how things went with my surgery.

Well wishes from Tennessee Mike!  You need to get back soon so I don't go into picture withdrawls!

Mike Reports From Facebook:

Mike Cain Well, I'm in pre-op. Got a tube put in me. Guess it's going to happen. Yes, the nurses are good looking, in case anyone was wondering......

Leave it to Mike to be posting from Pre-op.
Glad you are enjoying the "view" before heading in for the surgery.
I am thinking of you.

Just wanted to let everyone know - Mike's surgery went well.  The doctor and all the nurses were really great.  I'm just the sister, but they took plenty of time to make sure I knew what was happening and keeping me in the loop.  I got Mike home just before 5.  He felt okay, just tired.  I'm sure he will be back online later on tonight.  Thank you all for your prayers, comments, and good thoughts.  I know it means a great deal to Mike.  And to me.  He's a pretty good brother.  smiley
