Hi Henry -
Here are a couple pictures of my totaled cruiser.  This is what happens when operators are not paying attention and exercising extra caution during poor weather conditions.  It's also a good public service announcement on the importance of seatbelts.  Thank you and stay safe!

OMG ... can you imagine hitting a State Troopers Car?  Now that called having a Bad Day!  Does anyone know what type of vehicle it was that hit this car?  I bet it was a 4 wheel drive truck or SUV.  Am I wrong?

Joseph Dawson, 46, of Burlington, was traveling north in his 1998 GMC truck and failed to slow down as he approached the scene and merged with traffic, the troopers said.

It's also a good public service announcement not to snowboard on the interstate.

SUMMARY OF CRASH:
Trooper Baker was providing assistance to Trooper Barnes who was dealing with several vehicles that had slid off I-89 North in Richmond.  Trooper Baker had parked in the left lane of I-89 with her blue lights activated to move traffic to the right lane and alert them to an accident scene ahead.  Vehicle #1 was traveling north on I-89 and failed to slow down and merge to the right as he was approaching the scene.  Vehicle #1 struck the rear end of vehicle #2, causing extensive damage to vehicle #2. Trooper Baker was in vehicle #2 when it was struck but was wearing her seatbelt and did not sustain any injuries.  The operator of vehicle #1 was not injured.  Richmond and Bolton Fire, as well as UVM Rescue responded to the scene.
