A gray end to 2009

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
At the stroke of midnight, the ball finished dropping, and 2010 arrived. After opening my bottle of grape soda, and petting Rex to wish him a Happy New Year, we went outside and I could hear concussions from fireworks off in the distance. I could hear them from two different directions, one from the the south, and another from the south west. I'm guessing south is Burlington, not sure where SW would be. Milton? Colchester?
In any case, we begin anew.
