Would anyone happen to know the status of '100 Acre Wood'?  the property in north Fairfax around the reservoir?  I believe it has been closed to hiking for a while now possibly because of logging but I'm not sure of the official reason.

It is closed for logging still. Looking for information regarding the 100 acre wood next summer.

If it is around the reservoir, I would think DHS would have declared it a restricted area in the name of protecting the public from a possible terrorist threat of dumping something in the drinking water.

NO, I don't know this to be the case.  It's only a partially serious comment mostly intended to mock our governments knee-jerk over reaction to everything without a serious evaluation of actually danger/threat.  Sort of like the current H1N1 "crisis".
