Got any specs on those turkeys?  Like weight ranges available, feed, antibiotic useage, free range?

Actually no.  I'd like to buy local - but am particular about what i buy and what goes into it.

Loctavious

I LOVE to buy local also. Do not get me wrong.

I also assume that whatever turkeys eat goes into them.
What DO they eat that grows that little white and red thing that pops out when they are done???
I am just asking.....

If you want free range, I have seen many a posts here on where to get one.

Last year I got a 20lber.
I had a few neighbors over and the wife gave away ALL of my left overs!!!!
WHAT THE WHAT!!!
Watching football witch a cranberry sandwich is UN American........

So, I ask all turkey raisers out there, is there a 40lb turkey?
Or do they call that an ostrich???
If so, I WANT one of them!

I may need to 5x the family dressing recipe.

I bet Henry's witnessed one or two 40-lb'ers in his day.  I've heard that they don't fit in some ovens (or roasting pans) though.

To be honest with you, never have - I used to raise them over 60 years ago and I think the biggest I had was around 28 pounds.
