The Fairfax Fire Department quickly put out a fire in an electrical panel at 915 Main Street, Jeff Minor's Rental House formerly owned by Bert McGowan. The new tenants heard a crackling and then the power went out. Lee Minor's Brother in Law, Larry LaMott, Master Electrician was already on the scene at 5:50 p.m. and CVPS was on its way as firemen picked up their gear.
One of the firemen directs the one-way traffic on Route 104 at the scene.
