Yesterday I saw the Burger Barn go down by my place, so figured it was headed for Swansons  --  Sure Enough.

Forgot the Megabucks tickets when I went to Minors this morning, so I headed back up in the afternnon. Stopped in to Swansons to see the Burger Barn's menu, ended up getting a pint of fries. Not bad.

Just enjoyed a Swiss Mushroom burger with bacon added,
some delicious deep fried mushrooms w/ranch
and some mozzarella sticks with fries.
All good food.

Open Sunday 11:00am till about 8:00pm.

I have been waiting all year to enjoy their food here in town so today will probably be the day. Their food is wonderful. It is not your typical burger. They have quite the menu just like a little restaurant. I like the idea that our options are open for a sit down meal or a take home meal. The kids love it when we get to go there. It is a very child friendly place with a great atmosphere. You don't even have to wash up before you go. ha ha Welcome back Burger Barn.

Since my wife is out of town this week, I guess I know what I'm doing for dinner!

Stopped there today to pick a few things to try. We got the fries, breaded mushrooms & onions rings. All were very yummy but I have to say that the fries are some of the best ever!

They'll be open again this weekend,
but I'm not sure of the hours.

Because of zoning regulations and permitting issues the Burger Barn cannot be a permenant structure. Therefore it must only stay in one place for a certain allocation of time. It will be coming back on the weekends, throughout the summer.

Thanks for the straight scoop Elisabeth - I wondered if there was a permit thing or not as it appears similar to the little concession wagon that the Patriots Football had that sold hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.  I don't know if they needed a permit or not.

I just went downtown & checked on the Burger Barn Permit - There is no particular reason for them moving it according to the permit:

When the Swanson's received permission from the Town for the Burger Barn last August the following restrictions were cited:

        Hours: 11AM to 10 PM, 7 days a week
Time:  May 1 to October 31
Off Season:  Removed from the premises
Waste:  In animal proof containers, removed daily

Thanks Raymond! Now we just have to convince them to stay 24/7. Although my cholesterol may disapprove.
