RexZOOM ZOOM!Posted for Sunday February 8th..................Well, Kevin Harvick won the Bud Shootout Saturday night at Daytona. Earlier in the day, I dozed through most of the ARCA 200 race. I even missed the big wreck that brought out the red flag with 4 laps left. Margie had to tell me what happened as they were not showing a replay because they feared the worst. When there is an awful wreck, and they are having to cut someone out of a car, they won't show a replay until they know that you aren't watching someone die in a wreck. I remember one truck race where Geoff Bodine climbed the fence, and the car disintergrated, and ESPN wouldn't even show the crew working on the car until it was confirmed that Bodine was still alive.
When Dale Earnhardt was killed, nobody knew how serious it was until much later after they went off the air.
For Monday's blog, I will peer into my crystal ball, and give my preview on the upcoming NASCAR season.
Early post tonight so I can go to bed at a decent hour.
