Don't know whats going on, but lots of State Police Cars going up and down the Fletcher Road - I'm estimating maybe 5??

A little gray car went down by the house with some young people in it and one of the State Police cars made a U-Turn on my lawn and according to a witness caught up with them down around Morris Lumber where they were stopped.  Apparently a case of mistaken identity as a short while later they were seen giggling and laughing as they drove down the road after the stop, but I do suspect they got the crap scarred out of them for a few minutes.

The activity has been going on since about six p.m. or a little before.  Last time I saw them go up through was 3 regular State Police Cars and one with what looked like a State Police Number Plate.  Absolutely no idea what's going on, but you had all best be legal tonight when you drive up the Fletcher Road.

At 7:36 p.m. there were 4 State Police Cars headed towards Fairfax Village by my house.  Still no idea what is going on.

Just by chance, when i was picking up my daughter from her grandparents house in Milton, the grandpa was listening to that chase on his scanner.  He didn't here what the issue was, but did here that at least 4-5 cops were chasing and lookign for a white camaro on Goose pond, Sheparson Hollow and FLetcher roads.  I said, "WOA!  Must be Law Enforcement Day in Fairfax as we never have more than 1 officer in our area at a time ( unless there's a statie driving through the area comign back from Cambridge.)

"Conservatives see any progress outside of what they approve of as the 'liberal agenda'.  Apparently no one told them they and what they think aren't any better than the rest of us"

St. Albans Messenger reported the following in Saturday's Edition and did give a name, but I chose not to put it up here on the forum.

Police seek help solving case of theft from auto

GEORGIA — Thursday at 5:05 p.m., Vermont State Police were investigating a reported theft from a motor vehicle here. A witness to the theft recorded the registration of a vehicle involved and provided a description to police.

A short time later, a trooper observed the vehicle in Fairfax village and attempted to stop it.

The officer said the male operator failed to yield and attempted to elude police. The vehicle led police through Fairfax village onto River Road and Shepardson Hollow Road, said police.

Troopers saturated the area and located the vehicle after a tip was received related to its location. The male operator had since left the vehicle but was identified as a 28 year old male, of Fletcher.

Charges are pending against him at this time. Anyone with information about this incident, is asked to contact Senior Trooper William Sweeny, of the Vermont State Police, St. Albans (524-5993).
