Marc Ratte, son of Steve & Pauline Ratte raced in the XTerra (triathlon) on Maui in Hawaii last Oct. which is being televised on Ch 3 Saturday, January 31,  at 5pm right after the super bowl highlights show. He placed 9th out of 50 in his age class and 111th out of 400 overall. According to Marc,  the swim event was the most challenging with 400 swimmers all in close range .... people getting slapped and kicked . . .
 
It's a big event on Maui every year drawing competitors from all over.
