Chreston Calvin Rabtoy, 72, of St. Albans, passed away on August 29, 2018 at Burlington Health and Rehab in Burlington. He was a well driller by trade, loved woodworking with his basement full of woodworking tools. He was an avid hunter who loved to be with his family in the Fairfax woods. Chreston enjoyed all types of fishing especially deep sea fishing when he was younger. He would always make his doctors and nurses laugh during his illness and he never went anywhere without his favorite John Deere hat. He also enjoyed little children and for many years played Santa Claus for them at Fairfax concerts held at the school, with Mrs. Claus by his side.

Chreston is survived by his loving wife of 33 years Calista (Towle) Rabtoy of St. Albans, his father Calvin Rabtoy of Clarendon, two sons Chreston Rabtoy and wife Victoria of South Burlington; Joseph Belisle & Deborah Sarver of West Virginia; three daughters Diana Mackintosh and husband Scott of Mass; Julie Mackintosh and husband Greg of Mass; Calinda Turner and husband Bruce of Georgia; two brothers David Rabtoy and wife Linda of Georgia; Martin Rabtoy of Clarendon; a brother-in-law Skip Towle and wife Ann of Essex Jct.; A sister-in-law Bernice Leahy and husband Bill of St. Albans; seven grandchildren Evan Mackintosh, Morgan Mackintosh, Abigail Mackintosh, Izabella Mackintosh, Greta Mackintosh, Scott & Katie Turner, Kevin Turner, a great granddaughter Reese Turner; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and his loving faithful companion Buddy.

Per Chreston’s wishes there will be no visiting hours held. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 31, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax. Memorial contributions may be made to the parking staff of Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans. The family invites you to share your memories and condolences by visiting www.awrfh.com.
