Wednesday, October 25, 3-4pm: STEM Club Kids age 6+ will learn about simple machines and build automatons with local inventor Ralph Lemnah. Must register.
Thursday, October 26, 3:15-4:15pm: READ to a DOG Kids ages 5-10 can read a book of their choice to a fuzzy, friendly dog. Call to reserve a 15-minute slot.
Thursday, October 26, 6:30-7:30: Family STEAM Night: Join us for this new family program, where each month parents and children will complete fun activities having to do with Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and/or Math (STEAM). This month our theme is “Candy Science”. Candy is good for more than just eating; it’s great for science experiments! Please register.
Monday, October 30, 3-4pm: Lab Girls This club empowers young women to explore science and technology through hands-on experiments and activities. For grades 6-12. This month students will study molecular science by creating a monster lava lamp in honor of Halloween. Must register.
Tuesday, October 31, 9:30-10:30: Preschool Story Hour: Spiders and other Creepy Crawlers Join us for themed stories, songs, and activities for ages 0-6. No registration necessary for story hour.
Tuesday, October 31, 5-8: Trick-or-Treat at the Library The Library will be open on Halloween for Trick-or-Treating, bathroom breaks, and a spot to warm up if it’s chilly. We will offer both candy and non-candy alternatives for those with food allergies. You can show off your costumes and have your picture taken too!
