LOCATION: 899 Rice Hill Rd
                    Sheldon VT
On October 13- and October 14, members of the Vermont State Police Major Crime Unit, Bureau of Criminal Investigation, Crime Scene Search Team and Search and Rescue Team executed a search warrant on the residence and property located at 899 Rice Hill Rd in the Town of Sheldon. 
The Vermont State Police received information about the possibility of human skeletal remains being located at the residence and on the property located at 899 Rice Hill Rd in the Town of Sheldon VT.  The investigation revealed the human skeletal remains located at the residence and property could have been from an unreported 50 plus year old homicide.  Based on the information gained during the investigation a search warrant was granted to search the residence and property for human skeletal remains.
During the execution of the search warrant a human skull was located.  The skull will be brought to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to be forensically analyzed.  The investigation is ongoing at this time.
