BFA-Fairfax recognized and honored a longtime athletic program supporter April 23 before the softball team played against Harwood.

Doug Stewart, who passed away a little over a week ago, was a tireless supporter of BFA-Fairfax softball and all the Bullets athletic programs, said Fairfax athletic director Geri Witlaec.

“He was a good man who will be remembered at every single Fairfax event,” Witalec said. “He was a longtime, unfailing athletic supporter at BFA-Fairfax, a proud parent and grandparent of numerous Fairfax athletes. Over the years he has been invaluable to the Fairfax athletic community.”

Before the first pitch, the Bullets held a ceremony that involved family and people from both BFA-Fairfax and Peoples Academy. The team honored Stewartfor his overall support of the Bullets.

"Life is too short, so love the one you got!"
