Amanda was present by phone.

Board Nomination: Mary and Barbara introduced Robby Rodimer and proposed her to fill the vacancy left by Roy Hill’s departure. The nomination was accepted and favorably voted on. Welcome, Robby!

Community Day: We reviewed Amanda’s timeline for this event on July 4. Katrina announced that as of today there were twenty participants in the parade. Mark will meet Katrina at the Rec Park at 8 or 9 for set up. Barbara has a six foot table and plastic tablecloth. He will also bring a tent. Katrina said that she could use another tent and Robby offered one. Amanda has the banner and will bring it early along with ropes and big clips for attachment. Mary will ask the church if we could borrow a couple of metal chairs. Mary and Robby will scoop, Barbara, Mark and Amanda possibly available for a second shift. Barb will bring aprons for the scoopers.  Mary will bring a recycling bin. Mary said she would pick up napkins at Costco and shop for the other things on line. Amanda is making signs and bringing brochures. Katrina suggested that if anyone wants to bake, selling cookies would likely be a money maker. The event will end around 5.

Spaghetti dinner
:  Doug is asking (through Mark) what we can know about numbers and when we can know it. Katrina said she would have a tentative headcount about a week before. We will advertise with 11x17 posters which will need to be reproduced.

Baptist Building Workgroup: Last week Mike Montague (representing the Masons) looked at our list of renovations for the Baptist Building which would be needed if it were to become our community center. Mark asked Mike to share the Mason’s urgent repair list. Mark and Mike will meet next week.

Haunted House
: Katrina said that she will not be able to pay attention to this event until after August 5th.

New Residents’ Packet: Mark talked with Selectman Tom Fontaine who said that the town was not considering reprising the orientation meetings for new residents, but was interested in some kind of packet of information. We agreed that this would be a natural task for us to take on, although this summer may not be the best time due to other activities. Our plan is to raise this at our annual meeting to see if we can generate interest in helping.

The next meeting will be July 10 at Fairfax United Church

Mark and Mike’s report on the Baptist Building will be on the agenda.
