Was reading the Free Press today and saw a teeny tiny ad that said Paul Mazza had some new homegrown strawberries - Needless to say, I called them and sure enough they do, so off I went and I will be having some strawberry shortcake just a bit later.

I got some real sweet and juicy strawberries at Riverberry Market today.  They also have fresh spinach, lettuce, basil and of course eggs.

Did she bring it to you and say, "Here Daddy, you eat this"?

I spoke to Jane today and she said she would update Henry's site when the time is.

I took a drive over tonight with my camera and the young man in the greenhouse told me they did have a few berries, but somebody came in and bought them all - His rough guess is that it would probably be a couple of weeks - Jane usually sends me a note and I will upload her note whenever I receive it.

Ok Henry, I confess, it was me be who bought the strawberries. I put some in the freezer for next winter. Last year when I went towards the end of the season they were rationing them so I didn't have any last winter. I took advantage today and bought all they had on the shelf. PLEASE FORGIVE ME! :~)

I have picked 31 berries out of my patch so far and Cale has enjoyed most of them!

When Dad (Henry) used to raise strawberries in our garden.  I remember as a very little kid, squatting and "helping" pick them.  Which meant a few for me and one for the bowl smiley

**Note to self, Judi is a strawberry hog. smiley  Hee Hee can't blame you.  Looking forward to running to Mazza's this weekend and getting a bunch myself!**
