Fiery Fairfax crash causes injuries
A fiery crash in Fairfax landed one man in the hospital.

It happened at around 5:00 this morning in front of a house on Main Street. According to fire officials, the truck went off the road and rolled into several other parked cars. The driver's vehicle burst into flames, but he managed to escape with non-life threatening injuries.

Police aren't releasing his name and aren't sure what caused the crash, but say there was freezing rain in the Fairfax area this morning.

DESCRIPTION OF VEHICLE:2003 Chevy Pick up
DAMAGE TO VEHICLE: Complete Loss
HOSPITAL:  North West Medical               

WEATHER:  Light Rain 
ROAD COND: Patches of ice

SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 11/22/201 at approximately 0458 hours dispatch advised of a 1 vehicle crash at 112 Main St in Fairfax.  Dispatch further advised the vehicle was on fire and both fire and rescue has been dispatched as well.
The Chevy Pick-up operated by Gendron was completely burned, there was also damage to two parked vehicles as well as the siding on the garage at the residence.  Gendron was transported to North West Medical. 

This crash is under investigation anyone who witnessed the crash should contact
Trooper Hurwitch at (802) 524-5993.

This accident occurred just past the Old Giddings Farm, aka Wimble Farm and now Vermont Woodworking, headed towards Cambridge.

The brown car you see below has damage to the right rear fender and you can see the burn spot on the driveway where the other car must have burned.
