The place used to be owned by Mr. & Mrs. Clayton Carl, however, I have it listed now as being owned by Clayton & Anne Carl, Jr.  I will check my files to see what other information I might have on it.  It was getting dusk when I was up there and I know that Mike Cain also took some photos.  It is located just before you get to Don Luman's place and right after the old Corliss Farm on The Buck Hollow Road.

Below is the photo I have of the house:

According to my records, it was built in 1851 by Silas Stafford.  For more information, click on the following link:

Clayton & Anne Marie Carl did have a son Lawrence Carl who graduated from BFA here in 1979 and the last information I have on him is that he was living in New Hampshire, according to the BFA Alumni Book.

Around 2:30pm Sunday Fairfax Fire and Rescue were dispatched to 231 Buckhollow Road for a structure fire.  Upon arrival fire had engulfed the entire structure limiting FXFD to a defensive attack only.  Structure was a total loss and the cause of the fire is being investigated.  Representatives from Fairfax Fire and VSP will be on scene today further investigating the cause of this blaze.

It is interesting how this building has stood vacant for 25 + years and has never caught fire, but within two weeks of it being put up for sale it is destroyed.

Henry,
when I was a kid it was owned by Ralph Buck and after he died Phil Parah bought it. Phil used to have the farm above us on the Buck hollow road he sold that place to a man by the name of Preston and who has had it since I do not know
I do not know if the fire co knew this but in the lower field just above this house there is a boxed in spring with a concrete cover which at one time the fire co brought up the pumper and they could not drop the water level in it
