Caroline Patry LaShomb was born at home in Fairfax at 5:39 pm on 07 May 09 to Willyjane Patry and Carl LaShomb.  Maternal Grandparents: Thomas and Barbara Patry formerly of Fairfax (now in Tennessee).  Paternal Grandparents:  Gerald and Donna LaShomb of Norfolk, NY.

"Bill suggested the Board issue a standing order for Don Pigeon to hire Stanley at his discretion so long as it is within his budget. This will ensure the Selectboard maintains hiring rights. Suzanne will draft an order for Board review."

As I read throught he minutes of the board meeting, this particular item caught my attention.  Can someone provide more background information about this item?  What does this pertain to?  What hiring rights are the Selectboard seeking to maintain, and why?
