She was a young woman of tremendous strength.  She pitched against us in my first game as varsity head coach the spring after having treatment.  Even after all she went through she dominated the circle and shut us out 2-0.  This is a true loss for the entire Vermont community.

Casey Baczewski and Chelsea King were also selected the take part in the North South Senior all star game that takes place at this year Castleton state college July 2nd & 3rd.  The best part ... Quentin and I get to coach then for three more games as we are coaching the North all-stars for the weekend!!!!

I would like to thank all the fans that have supported us all season.  We apppreciate the excitement that you bring to the games.   The girls are looking forward to returning the favor by bringing a championship home to Fairfax!!  Hope to See you all at the game Friday!  Seth

BFA Sports Events / Fairfax Softball

The Varsity Softball team is having a great season.  We are off to a 9-1 start and have a home game today the 19th at 4:30 and this saturday the 23rd at 11:00.  We would love to have you come out and see some great softball!!

Congrats to Sarah Tucker!! Go Fairfax Softball!!!

The Lyndon State softball program also earned two selections to the All-NAC after qualifying for the conference tournament in its first season. Sophomore outfielder Sarah Tucker was given Second Team honors while fellow Natalia Shams received an Honorable Mention.

Tucker, who hails from Fairfax, Vt., led the team with a batting average of .327. On the season, she collected 18 hits, four doubles, four triples and eight RBIs. She had a slugging percentage of .545 and an on-base percentage of .393.
