THE ADDAMS FAMILY features an original story, and it's every father's nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents have never met. And if that weren't upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he's never done before - keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's "normal" boyfriend and his parents.

Current News & Events / You don't want to miss The Wizard of Oz
« on: November 06, 2013, 08:48:02 PM »
It has been 75 years since Frank Baum's beloved story of The Wizard of Oz first graced the big screen. Since that time, it has become a favored classic, with nearly every adult alive knowing what lies over the rainbow and agreeing that there's no place like home.
It has been 10 years since the late Richard Hanson brought this story to life in Fairfax. His hard work and dedication created a show that many still remember. In many ways, that show was the beginning of a very vibrant drama program within the halls of BFA. Students currently have the ability to wet their feet in the dramatic arts at 8 years of age and continue right through their senior year. The program grows in number each and every year.
It has become tradition to bring a musical to life on the BFA stage each fall. If you've been fortunate, you've seen the amazing recent performances of The Beauty and the Beast, Willy Wonka, Seussical, and last year, The Little Mermaid. This year, we bring you The Wizard of Oz. Almost 50 of our current Fairfax students have been working since August on this year's BFA Dramatic Arts Ensemble's production. The show hits the stage next week and tickets are now on sale.
Come support the hard work of some amazing kids and enjoy a quality local show which promises to please.

Thursday, November 14th, at 7:00pm
Friday, November 15th, at 7:00pm
Saturday, November 16th, at 2:00pm and 7:00pm

You may purchase tickets by calling 849-6711. Seats are $10 for adults, $8 for students. Don't delay, our shows sell out quickly!

General Discussion / Looking for a ride to Fairfax
« on: August 25, 2011, 04:10:25 PM »
Does anyone out there know of someone who commutes from Burlington to Fairfax in the evenings (leaving Burlington around 8:00ish). Our foster daughter has a class scheduled in the evenings on Mondays and Wednesdays and we are looking for a way to get her back home on those nights. Any help would be appreciated.

« on: November 04, 2010, 07:37:18 PM »
Next week the BFA Fairfax Dramatic Arts Ensemble brings the wacky world of Willy Wonka to the stage. Ronald Dahl’s classic story is brought to life by a cast of 40+ BFA students from grades 5-12. The wildly hilarious and outrageous stage performance brings to life all of your favorite characters including the flamboyant and mysterious candy maker Willy Wonka himself, played by stage veteran Troy Millette, the innocent Charlie Bucket, played by fifth grader Evan Marnell, and Grandpa Joe, played by Senior Christopher Hogan. You will also meet the wild characters of Augustus Gloop, Veruca Salt, Violet Beauregarde, Mike Teavee, and a  tribe of mischievous Oompa Loompas. The performance has a runtime of approximately an hour and a half and will be shown Thursday, November 11th, at 7 pm, Friday, November 12th, at 7 pm, a special matinee on Saturday November 13th at 2 pm, as well as a 7 pm performance that evening. Tickets can be purchased in advance in the Bellows Free Academy main office. Prices are: adults $8, students $6. Come out and support the dramatic arts at BFA. You won't be disappointed.

Announcements / Does anyone have any golf coupons?
« on: August 10, 2010, 12:33:58 PM »
This is the first year we don't have one of those local entertainment coupon books lying around. In the past they've had a number of golf coupons that we sometimes would use. With lots of company coming next week or so to join us for golf, I was wondering if anyone out there might have any golf coupons that they don't plan on using and would be willing to give us. It will save us a few dollars if we can locate some. Anyone???

« on: July 15, 2010, 09:48:42 AM »
Possibly!!!

Look in the evening, I would say between 6:00pm and 7:00pm this evening.   The basket, along with the pilot will contain the Filiberti clan.

Of course it all depends on the wind.

Pictures to follow.....

Thanks go out to Ken Levesque of U-Ken-Do Ballooning

« on: March 08, 2010, 04:53:23 PM »
I was wondering if anyone uses the wireless offering from Surfglobal as their internet provider?   If so how is the service?  Outages ?  Do you get the speed you pay for?  Does weather cause a problem with the reception?
