Not meaning to poke the hornet nest.... but..... I've kind of lost track.... Where are we now in terms of trash pickup? Is it still Duffy's? Has Casella taken over? Something else? Our trash still seems to be disappearing and it's probably not magic fairies....so...  Regards, Joe

Our plow guy is no longer in the business so I am looking for a recommendation of someone who can plow a long driveway in the Buck Hollow / Woodard Road area.

The road work this morning on RT. 128 has ramped up ramped up quite a bit over the last few weeks! Expect delays!

Brenda (my wife) spotted a sign on the old beauty shop (next to the post office) that says Fairfax House of Pizza / Tim's Place - coming soon?

This morning (745-ish) there were two state police cars on RT 104 near Swanson's and a third seen on its way with lights/sirens - looked kind of serious.
Anyone know anything?

It looks my plowing person has decided to give up the business (umm...yeah, just finding this out today).
I am looking for recommendations of anyone who could do some residential plowing in the Buck Hollow area.

I was looking at an older topographic map and noticed it showed a quarry on Huntville road, almost near the intersection of Woodard Rd, and another around the corner on Woodard Rd.
Anyone know what they were and when they operated?
Kind of in my backyard, just curious...

I commute every day from Fairfax to Fort Ethan Allen area in Colchester. Anyone interested in trying a carpool?
Even if it's two days a week, that's a few gallons of gas saved (and $$)!

In the area where Woodard Road crosses Polly Brook (near Buck Hollow) - the brook has slightly eroded away at the side of the road by a foot or two. The road is passable but be careful, if you are not paying attention you'll go off the road. I did alert the town so hopefully they can throw a few cones in the road.

Anyone know what was happening on Rt 128 last night, just north of Westford-Milton Road around 9 p.m?
There was a line of cars stopped, some turning around, people running around with flashlights... could not see much more as we were too far back
(no police or rescue spotted)

Does anyone know why there are paper plates on posts, both sides of the road on RT 128 between Fairfax and Westford?
They have numbers written on them like -20, 00, etc.
Something to do with the re-paving project?

A new tower has sprouted up on Georgia Mountain, west of the cell tower... and taller !
No clue what it could be... wireless internet? Or maybe a wind sample tower for the proposed wind farm?

This week I noticed a new road, off Rood Mill just down from Buck Hollow. Is this what the town is calling Bushey Road?
It looks like a subdivision is going in there. Does anyone know how many homes?
