Their children graduated form BFA.

St. Albans - Nancy (Lindkamp) Orcutt, 76, passed away with her loving husband by her side on Wednesday November 27, 2019 at home after a long illness. Nancy kept her sense of humor and mischievous side to the very end. She was born on March 19, 1943 to the late Paul and Frances (Fietz) Lindkamp in Oneida, New York.

Nancy had a passion for quilting and belonged to quilt guilds in both Franklin and Chittenden Counties. She and Bill traveled to many states for quilt shows, quilting classes, and sightseeing. Her most favorite group was the “Stitch and Bitch” group that met at the members’ homes. Members Dale McFeeters, Bonnie Evans, Denise Chase, Denise Quint, and Carol Stanley were very close friends. Nancy had a love of cats and always had at least one furry friend living with her. She enjoyed feeding and watching the many birds that would come to the feeder. Cardinals were her favorite but any bird that showed up was welcome. Professional Baseball was another passion and they made numerous trips to different ball parks to see games and also watched games at home on TV. Her favorite team was the Boston Red Sox and she was blessed to see them win the World Series four times. Saturday nights were spent with a group of friends going out to dinner then playing cards late into the evenings. She also adored riding her motorcycle during the summer and her snowmobile during the winter with Bill, sometimes having the children along as well.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 57 years William E Orcutt of St. Albans, a son William P Orcutt and wife Debra and their children Sonya and Jordan of South Burlington, a daughter Joanna Sartwell and husband Donnie and their children Jaydon and Maelyn of Georgia (VT), a daughter Tricia Langlois and husband John and their children Emily, Sarah and Daniel of Connecticut, a brother-in-law Bruce Orcutt and wife Renee and their children of Texas, a sister-in-law Darlene Hollingsworth and her significant other “Bud” Dunn and her family of New York, two great-grandchildren, and many close friends. Nancy is also predeceased by two half sisters, her father’s children by a previous marriage. It was a very important milestone in her life to finally meet them when she traveled to Florida in the early nineties. They enjoyed each others company and kept in touch with one another until their deaths.

A special thank you to Bayada Home Health for their outstanding compassion and care of Nancy during her long illness. We especially want to thank Carol, Bridget, and Mike for their exceptional kindness and attention to both Nancy and her family.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, December 7th from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. at A W Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel with a funeral service starting at 6:00 p.m. with Chaplain Michael Ellis officiating.
