I wish to add my thoughts to the many others expressing support for Barbara Murphy for Representative. As our two major political parties move further apart our society is becoming more polarized. How very fortunate we are to have a truly independent candidate, especially one who has served her community for so long and in so many ways. Barbara knows, and is known by, many of her constituents. She is passionate about remaining unattached, indeed refusing support from both parties - and the benefits that go along with that - to maintain her status as an Independent. I have known her well for many years and can attest to her thoughtful, experienced, and pragmatic consideration of issues affecting our community and our state. She prepares well, studies hard, and acts to serve her community ... not a party agenda and not even her own political future. As an Independent she is beholden to neither party and is free to vote her conscience in support of Fairfax. Thank you for your past efforts Barbara, and everyone please vote!
