Title: Where to get local, seasoned firewood?
Post by: Harold on February 25, 2013, 08:04:31 AM
Does anyone have a good recommendation as to where I can get some local, dry, seasoned firewood this late in the season? I'm looking for anywhere from 1/2 a cord to a full cord.

Thanks,
Harold.

Hi Harold,
Try I google search for that in VT. You will see places to go locally. Also......while not ready now, you go to Fairfax falls and pick up lots of wood there left over from the hurricane . There is a guy in Milton who sells wood and delivers. Also try Craigslist.

South on 128 out of Westford village I spotted a sign at a farm advertising dry wood. Stopped there yesterday and am expecting delivery today.
Tony says the logs were cut  last spring, then split and stacked last fall and they're burning it.  I'll try to get a phone number for you if the load looks good.

Greg Heyer 849-6714 or Jason Heyer: 849-6221 on Huntville Road in Fairfax

Ted Lancaster 849-6911 Fletcher

Clyde Tucker:               Sam Webb Rd Fairfax

All of these people have wood for sale.  I have purchased from all of them in the past and have been happy.  I'm not sure what they will have this late in the season.
