Title: VPA's stated record for BFA Girls basketball incorrect?
Post by: Loctavious on February 18, 2013, 10:33:45 AM
I see the girls have 3 more games in the season...... yet the VPA website says they have a 15-3 record - the listings of games they've played only adds up to 17.  I'm wondering if there wasn't a game that was postponed that they made up and lost or if the VPA site is incorrect.  I know that the AD's from the schools are the ones who update the site so not sure if it's an accidental typo or if the loss wasn't recored.  anyone know the Ms. Witalec well enoguh to ask?  or at least know the low down?

On the BFA Fairfax website her email address is listed under staff if you'd like to email her. She has always responded quickly to any on my questions.

I'm pretty sure they're 15-2 as well - but I'm not in the loop anymore with postponements and make-up games.. so i figured I'd make sure.  i'll send her an email. Thanks for your feedback y'all.

So apparently the mix up came from Essex recording they defeated BFA Fairfax instead of BFA - St. Albans.  Ms. Witalec was already aware of the issue and said that even if no one picked up on the issue - The pairing committe would've found it as they go over all materials diligently.
