Once again BFA will be hosting Chinese Exchange Students through Spiral International. They will arrive the evening of July 9 and leave July 21. If you would be interested in hosting students, please contact me pastorliz@earthlink.net or 849 6588 for further details. The youth will attend classes at BFA in the morning and will participate in group activities around the state in the afternoon. Transportation may be available. Families last year had a wonderful time with delightful young people eager to learn English and about America.
Thank you. I realize this is short notice. We will host 30 students and three teachers.

I am hoping that the Fairfax community will again demonstrate their hospitality and welcome youth into their homes.

I would love to have them visit the library for a couple hours as they did last year. I think they researched sports last year? Let me know if you'd like to arrange a day and time and if there is a topic this year (I can reserve some materials to make sure there is enough).
If you'd like to use the library as meeting place for the students and community members or for a talk you are more than welcome!

Time is passing!!! Contact me if you can host two 13-14 year olds from China on their first adventure to the US!

Actually, I have just gotten a new keyboard for my computer and I am still learning its feel; the touch is different, and the spacing seems different... I know, no excuses for careless proofreading!!!!

Very very slowly I am gathering interested families...Please!!! Let's not disappoint these 13-14 year old youth eager to come to the US, learn English and learn about America. July 9-21. They arrive late evening on the 9th, leave on the 21st. You provide a room with two beds, breakfast and supper, fellowship, fun, English and Americana. The youth will be in classes/activities all day. Host families receive a stipend per youth.

I just talked wit Pastor Liz and we are still looking for at least 5 host families. The students are coming this Monday July 9 at 6:30 p.m. and will leave on Saturday July 21 by noon.
The following is all the information I have sent out to the BFA School community.
We REALLY need your help. We are short of Host Families and the students are arriving in one week. The Chinese students are here to learn about our language and culture. They will be here from July 9-21. Hosting theses youth is a wonderful experience for you and your family. requirements are that you be able to host two students who can share a room, but not a bed, be willing to transport them to and from school each day(we can help by providing a bus), and, most importantly, help them with English and make them feel welcome. Thank you to everyone who stepped up and offered to host youth. At this moment in time we have sufficient homes for all our youth. They are arriving on Monday and a full two weeks of learning and activities are scheduled for them. It should be an amazing experience for all involved.
