JOHN J. WILSON
FLETCHER - John Jay Wilson, 47, passed away Oct. 22, 2006, in Enosburg as a result of a tragic auto accident. He was born in St. Albans, Vt. on July 20, 1959, son of Elizabeth “Betty” (Brissett) Wilson and the late Franklin Wilson.

John owned and operated Second Harvest, a demolition and antique restoration company. He took great care in the demolition of old buildings so that these great beams and lumber could be used again to make another grand structure. He loved finding trinkets and bottles that had been buried over the years and passing them on to family and friends. John had a big heart and always found the right person to give his latest find too. One of his greatest pleasures was removing an old barn from his mother’s property and rebuilding it in a Florida museum. His son Sam enjoyed working with his father and always wanted to be just like dad. John was a good cook and his family always looked forward to sharing home made meals with him. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman. John will be greatly missed by all those who had the true pleasure to know and love him.

He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Brissett Wilson of Jeffersonville; his daughter, Sallie Ann Wilson of Bakersfield; grandmother, Gabrielle Brissett of Jeffersonville; his siblings, Franklin Wyatt Wilson Jr. and wife Karen of Reno, Nev., Sharon Ann Underwood and friend Tom Fonda of Fletcher, Timothy James Wilson and Cathy of Fletcher; two half-brothers, Asa Glenn Wilson of Richford and Raydon Lee Wilson of St. Albans; half sister, Wanda Adkinson of Biddeford, Maine; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; and many friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel on Friday, Oct. 27, 2006, from 2 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2006, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Bakersfield with the Reverend Sue Marie Baskette officiating. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
