Title: What Is It? Part 4
Post by: MikeF9 on March 04, 2011, 12:53:25 PM
Sunday night March 6th at 6:30pm, the Fairfax Historical Society will be having a meeting at the Fairfax Community Library.
The program for the evening will be 'What Is It?". With advances in technology and engineering, many work, farming, and household items are now obsolete.
People are invited to bring in items so everyone can guess What Is It? The public is invited to attend.

This week, I will post some pictures of some of the things we will be looking at and trying to guess what it was used for back in the day.

Today, we look at yet another item we have on display at the museum.

NOTE: We will not be posting the correct answers here until after the meeting Sunday evening.

it is put on the top of the stove and then you place the pot on itkinda sorta like a dry double boiler and also it can be placed in the bottom of a pot to be used for canning thus allowing the water to be under the jars so that you do not have to use a large canner for a small batch
