The night of September 11th I noticed Duane was out collecting all the flags on Main street by himself. It made me think of how lucky we all are to live in such an amazing town, a town full of people just like Duane that are so selfless with the time they volunteer to our community. Thanks for collecting our colors Duane

We owe Duane thanks for lots of stuff. Take a walk on the trails behind the school, Duane built all the bridges. He bought an old mower that he uses to maintain the trails, and he is the one that grooms the snow for nordic skiing.

Does Fairfax have a citizens award committee? There are so many great people here in Fairfax that give so much to the community, it would be nice if they were recognized.

Each year the Town Clerk puts a photo or two on the Fairfax Town Report Cover - You might want to mention your nominations to Debbie or Stacy and they can pass it by the Selectboard. If they decide to accept your nomination, you should be prepared with a good photo of the person.
