Title: 50 Years Ago She Thought Castor Oil Would Help
Post by: Henry on July 20, 2011, 09:03:15 AM
Well, it was 50 years ago today and Maryann was pregnant with our Oldest and I believe a couple of weeks overdue.  Well, July 21st was my mother's birthday and Old Wives Tales going around said if Maryann took a dose of Castor Oil, it would start her labor.  Well, She took the Castor Oil, but labor did not start until the afternoon of July 22nd and the baby was born Sunday morning, July 23rd.  I don't believe Castor Oil had anything to do with it.

Mike, It's my OLDER sister that my Mom did this :-)  When I was born, that was another story.  Poor Mom, 47 hours of labor for me.  ~ Mary Kay
