Title: Greetings from Weedsport, NY-NY Sprint Shootout
Post by: MikeF9 on October 09, 2009, 01:59:06 PM
Greetings from Cayuga County Fairgrounds in Weedsport, NY for the New York Sprint Shootout. We're here. It is a steady mist. But we're here for the race tonight and the World of Outlaws at Rolling Wheels Saturday night.
Sigh. I hope we can get the show in. I will keep you posted.

Cloudy. Damp. But they are going to try to get it in. Maybe 25 sprints in the pits. Big race like this usually draws 50-60 cars.

When things happen, they happenin a hurry. Rush around getting the car ready, go out for heat inthe engines, motor is skipping. Got that figured out, go out run limited hot laps. They want to start heats but we are getting a drizzle. Some think we are wasting our time. But we're here. Anthony starts 6th the 2nd heat. 34 cars inthe pits, 11 in Anthony's heat. So we hang outa few minuteswaiting for this to blow over, and they work the track back in. Anthony likes this track.

Fargelsnot.
Flying puckerbrush.
Poopy.
They pulled the plug. One good thing, we got reimburshed for our pit passes.
One bad thing- Tommy Wickham had a rear end go on his car.
Rolling Wheels tomorrow night. World of Outlaws.
Wish we could have run.
