Post by: Stand Alone Defense on May 24, 2011, 09:05:12 AM
If you have had a Mountain Bike stolen from you in the last few weeks feel free to contact me.  I recovered a very nice Bike last night that was thrown in the ditch appears to be a pricey one so I'm sure someone is missing it.  Thanks

HAHAHA Yes it is me. I was a CM though not an EO Mike, my full time job was babysitting EO's.  The Award is a Joint Service Commendation Medal, they don't usually pull out the 2 stars to give the award for good dozer operation. lol

Ahhhhhhhh.. I keep forgetting,,,CM.

We had a few in the Fire Department on Adak.
Biggest cry babies I ever did meet.

To you all that may read this,

All of those old and NEW military and civilian movies you may have seen where the mechanics yell and get ALL emotional about the equipment they maintain, upkeep, baby, and repair...................

IT'S FREAKING TRUE........

We had a pumper out doing drills, a 2 1/2 hose busted a coupling and the BRASS coupling sailed through a side window of the pumper.
We were old school on Adak.
Lucky no one was hit with that.

We took the pumper to the repair barn after training.

When "grease monkey" saw it I thought he was going to cry.

He YELLED, SCREAMED, JUMPED UP and DOWN, I thought he was going to pee his pants!

He even cussed like a REAL Sailor too....
I was impressed. I applauded.
I wrote down words I still use today!

I told him to take the old chill pill and fix it, PLEASE. I said PLEASE.

He blamed US for NOT maintaining the hoses properly and busting HIS window.

I apologized for our improper maintenance and interrupting his Nintendo 64 game of ZELDA and the World was well.

Long story short....
Mechanics do really care , if not slightly off in the old cranium.

Eh, Josh?
