Title: Fairfax School No. 11 - Corner Of 104 & Sam Webb Roads

Above is the photo of the school originally located just South of Jay & Cathy Shedd's house on Route 104.  The photo after checking the kids birth dates, appears to have been taken possibly the year BFA opened, 1905

This is the 1870 Map that shows its location.  The road angling to the right is Sam Webb Road and across the way is Route 104A, with Route 104 going up the map.

To see a larger photo of the school click on the link below.  You will see an x above the head of Harry Hunt, born September 18, 1899, a v to the right of the head of Heman Hunt, born June 14, 1896 and an o over the head of Wesley Brush, born September 29, 1894.

Very interesting.

Anchorage wasn't a a "town" until around 1905 either.

I love old photos.
