A luna moth..............I think
OFF TO THE RACES
This little fellow, moth, whatever, was on a bush up at Carl's house last Saturday.
We used to see moths like these up at Spartan Industries. They would congregate around the outside lights on the building at night and we would find them in the morning. I remember one moth that was brown, and the markings on the wings looked like eyes.
The bodies of these moths are almost furry looking.
We head for Ransomville, New York, near Niagara Falls, early Friday morning. The weather is calling for rain, but we will see. Saturday is the return to Merrittville, across the border into Ontario.
Not sure if we will see the Falls or not.
If I can get near a computer I will update here on how things are going.
In the meantime, you can check the ESS website or Mike Lauterborn's site for updates and race results. I expect to get back home Sunday morning, I think.
